Marissa Callahan threw a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts in leading Browerville/Eagle Valley to a 4-0 win over the Park Rapids fastpitch softball team at Browerville on Friday, May 28.

Tori Weaver’s single in the first inning, Ellie Ulvin’s single in the third inning and Abby Morris’ double in the fourth inning were the only hits for the Panthers, who were shut out for only the second time this season. Cassidy Bera walked inthe fifth to account for Park Rapids’ other baserunner.

Chloe Tretbar took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits.

B/EV, which was rated No. 5 in the latest state Class A poll, ended the regular season with an 18-0 record while the Panthers fell to 10-10.
