The Park Rapids Clay Dusters extended the lead in the Class 1A Conference 8 standings after two weeks of the Minnesota State High School League Fall Trap Shooting League.

The Clay Dusters tallied 1,512 points in Week 1 and followed with 1,526 points in Week 2 for a conference-leading 3,038 points. Sartell stayed in second place with 1,457 points in Week 2 for a total of 2,900 while Howard Lake-Waverly remaining in third place with 1,240.50 points in Week 2 for a total of 2,489.50.

Rounding out the seven-team conference standings are Century (2,065), Math & Science Academy (1,774), Perham (1,753) and Holy Family Catholic (1,731.50).

Aaron Clark of Perham holds the top individual spot in the conference with a 24.25 average while Joshua Marketon is second with a 23.75 average. Park Rapids’ Aaron McDonald is third with a 23.50 average, Tayden George is fourth with a 23.25 average and Kaiden Walsh is tied for sixth with a 23.00 average.

Amber Pretrowski of Sartell holds the top spot for the girls with a 22.50 average while Park Rapids’ McKenzie Girtz and Math & Science Academy’s Lily Swanson are tied for second with 22.25 averages.

Menahga dropped to ninth place in the Class 1A Conference 4 standings after compiling 274.50 points in Week 2 for a total of 616.50. Menahga had 342 points for eighth place in Week 1.

Spring Grove (which had 828.50 points in Week 1) held onto the top spot with 1,562 points while Albert Lea closed the gap with 808.50 points in Week 2 for a total of 1,472. Medford (1,462.50), Red Wing (1,280), Groves Academy (1,001.50), John Marshall (875), Mesabi East (845.50) and Northern Lakes Academy (784.50) follow in this nine-team conference.

Menahga’s Jadon Maaninga has a 22.25 average for ninth place. Dakoda Duchene of Medford and Brandon Anderson of Spring Grove share the top spot with 23.25 averages.

Jordan Thienes of Buffalo has a perfect 25.00 average while Kallista Roers of Alexandria has the top average among females at 24.25 after the first two weeks.

There are 122 teams in 16 conferences competing in the fall league.
