Eight different players scored goals and eight different players tallied assists as Warroad used a 48-9 advantage in shots on goal to spark a 10-0 win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley boys hockey team Jan. 22 at Warroad.

The Warriors outshot Park Rapids 20-3 in taking a 5-0 lead after the first period. Grant Slukynsky, Sky Solig, Anthony Foster and Saizha Norwegian scored in a span of 5:03 before Slukynsky capped off the period with a shorthanded goal.

A power-play goal by Blake Norris, a goal by Luke Johnson and a shorthanded goal by Owen Meeker extended the lead to 8-0 as Warroad held a 15-2 edge in shots in the second period.

A 13-4 edge in shots and goals by Anthony Foster and Jagger Jonson in the third period capped off the shutout.

Meeker assisted on five goals and Hunter Pelland had four assists as Warroad improved to 4-3 against Section 8A opponents and 10-8 overall. The Warriors were rated No. 10 in the latest state Class A poll.

Goalie Brendan Kruchowski finished with 38 saves as the Panthers fell to 3-9 in section games and 4-15 overall.
