PRDBA announces summer-fall photo contest winners

Contest winners include Duane Goeden, Tracy Lund and Craig Bihrle.

Winners of the Park Rapids Downtown Business Association’s (PRDBA) summer-fall photo contest are Duane Goeden of Park Rapids, Tracy Lund of Akeley and Craig Bihrle of Bismarck, N.D.

According to a PRDBA press release, the contest’s aim is to capture and celebrate the beauty and unique character of Park Rapids and the surrounding area.

Goeden’s photo, “Going for the Gold,” won in the Recreation category and was taken on the Crow Wing River.

Bihrle’s winning photo in the wildlife category is “Whitetail Doe in Fall, taken near Potato Lake. He also shot the winning photo in the Main Street scenes category, “Fourth of July Fireworks.”

There were 23 entries in the area lake scenes category won by Lund. Her photo is “Beautiful Morning for a Kayak.”

Max Bailey Photography sponsors the contest and awards a professionally finished, 11-by-14-inch mounted picture of the winning photo in each category. To view the winning entries and other photo contest submissions, visit www.parkrapidsdowntown.com and click the Photo Gallery link.

Photo submissions are now being accepted for the winter-spring contest. Amateur and professional photographers may participate. Contest rules, guidelines and the photo entry form are all available on the website. Submission deadline is April 30, 2022.
