Park Rapids school buses have food drive Friday morning

If school buses have a weight limit, Park Rapids schools hope to give them a torture test Friday (tomorrow) morning.

The district's bus garage is holding a food drive for the Hubbard County Food Shelf.

So send a non-perishable food item, or two, or six, with your student in the morning.

"The bus with the most items brought in will get to be the first bus to leave the Century Bus Loop Friday afternoon, and students on that bus will be given an extra treat," said transportation director Cindy Leach.

So the push is on, and the need continues. Whenever Food Shelf staff believe they've hit a high peak of need, more people come through their doors.
