LETTER: Our deepest gratitude

Letters to the Editor stock image

Thank you is just not enough, but it is with theutmost love that we extend our deepest gratitude to all for the loving support we have received.

The loss of a loved one is difficult, but we know that Big Schu’s impact will carry on through those he left a lasting impression on. Thank you to all who lined the streets, as John took his last drive by the schools, which he so loved. To the Park Rapids Schools, Fire Department, Police Department, the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Department and North Memorial Health Ambulance, thank you for being a huge part in making the procession one we will always remember. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to wave, blow kisses and feel the unending support of the Park Rapids community and many other surrounding communities.

This year has been one of challenges and heartache, but we know that if we approach each day with Schu’s motto and treat people the way he did, we will overcome it all together. Again, thank you so much for all the support you have given us. May we all strive, each day, to continue “Livin’ the Dream.”

For those of you who have inquired about the John Schumacher “Livin the Dream” Memorial Scholarship Fund, it has been established at the school as a tax-deductible donation. Checks should be made out to Park Rapids Schools and on the memo line indicate Schumacher Scholarship. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the district office.
