I would like to commend the writer’s letter in a recent Enterprise that raised awareness of the “cancel culture” we are seeing in our nation. It is absolutely true that dictatorships have used these tactics to gain power, but it is also true to say that DFL liberals use them to silence conservative.

It is a privilege to read a variety of views in this Opinion section, including those in the letter entitled “Fact versus opinion.” The “facts” presented are not necessarily true and the reader should not be hasty accepting them. The DFL platform is anything but fact-based and following science.

The climate alarmists have changed the name of their crisis over the years because objective data doesn’t fit their claims. In the ‘70s, we were told of a coming ice age. Later, we were assured that life would be unbearable because of global warming. Now it’s called climate change because that term is much more vague and easier to insert an agenda into.

Man is very talented, but we can’t change the climate. Mr. Peinvoich cites several figures supporting his statements, but the sources presenting them are as subject to corruption as anywhere science is tainted by an agenda.

Natural gas-fired electricity generation was mentioned in the letter, and I’m all for it, but the DFL liberals have all fossil fuel in their crosshairs.

One reason the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ran out of names for storms is because they broadened the criteria for a storm to qualify for naming; therefore, more names are needed.

When the riot began in the Capitol in January, the event timeline clearly demonstrates the impossibility for someone to be stirred into a frenzy at the President’s speech and then be at the Capitol in time to start the riot. The liberal press doesn’t like to notice this because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

I could continue, but will conclude with another important fact that many Democrats also deny. An unborn baby in the womb is a human life deserving a right to that life. When a pro-abortionist calls it a “blob of tissue” or that it becomes human “sometimes after being born,” they are lying to themselves and you. Much caution would be in order if considering assigning credibility to other things they say that have critical consequences in our lives.
