The Itascatur Outdoor Activity Club-sponsored Headwaters 100 bike ride was held on Sept. 25. Over 250 riders enjoyed the scenic area we are lucky enough to call home.
There were no negative incidents and feedback from the riders was very positive. It was great to have our 40th annual ride this year after having to cancel it in 2020 due to COVID.
As always, the ride owes its success to great community involvement. Thanks go to the Lions Club for hosting the Itasca State Park food stop, and staff from Essentia Health and CHI St. Joseph’s Health for doing the same at our Mantrap stop. Many Itascatur members and non-members volunteered in areas like food preparation and biker safety efforts. Thanks to all!
McDonalds once again provided hot coffee for the cool morning and The Enterprise did a great job of providing valuable press coverage of the ride, before and after the event. Thank you so much!
The Headwaters 100 is always held on the last Saturday in September, so the 2022 ride will be on Sept. 24.
Thanks again to everyone!
