Park Rapids Community Education and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) have just completed another year of Safety Camp.
Safety Camp is a three-day program for preschoolers. During camp, the children learn about many areas of safety, which include pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, fire safety and water safety. They also learn about calling 911 and what to do in case of an emergency.
Community Education and ECFE are very grateful for the support we received during Safety Camp from our community partners and agencies. These special people are as follows: Crystal Krautkremer from the Park Rapids Fire Department, Officer Joe Rittgers and Kelly Sykes from the Park Rapids Police Department, and Deputy Josh Oswald from Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office.
Safety Camp this year was made very special by a generous grant from the Park Rapids Area Community Fund. Because of this grant, each camper was sent home with a bike helmet and a life jacket. We are very grateful.
