With all of this craziness going on, I feel I need to bring attention to a recent event to everyone's attention. I emailed Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith and said I strongly disagreed with getting rid of the filibuster and that I thought the majority of people in Minnesota agreed with me.
Couple of days later, I got a generic response from Amy thanking me for my input and she would take it into consideration. The next day, I looked at the email again and it came up with “the web page you have requested does not exist or is undergoing maintenance,” so my husband brought up her website on his phone, and guess what, it came right up. So this says to me that if you disagree with her you are blocked. I strongly urge people to email her and find out if you get the same result.
As for Smith, she said that the filibuster is racist a product of the Jim Crow era. I am so tired of hearing them use the racist and Jim Crow card to explain everything. I believe that most Americans are good, kind people who are willing to help anyone no matter the color of their skin. I think it has been proven throughout this pandemic.
