It was good to hear about the women who started the Park Rapids Bring Your Own Bag project. It's a great idea to get people to reduce the use of plastic bags. But just as important for me, and others, I believe, are signs in the parking lot saying, "Remember your bags?" I have seen these in other cities and they are perfect for me, a motivated bag user who always walks into the store without mine! We just need a little help to remember our bags. (I have asked Hugo's several times to put these up, but it has not happened).

So I challenge all the grocery stores to put up simple "Remember your bags?" signs on their cart returns or light poles and store front. Then we will see a big jump in bag usage.
