The presidential campaign is well underway and it appears that the final results are not predictable; Donald Trump will be our next president. No, not Hillary. (It would be too embarrassing for visiting dignitaries, who believe they are going to be entertained in the White House, to be escorted to the big house).
Cruz was my candidate of choice, but since the presumed choice of the people is Trump, I think it is time to look for a positive side to his leadership. The thing that struck me the most is, what could be better than having a businessman to conduct the "people’s business"? Efficiency is one of the most crucial aspects of any good business (anyone who has been listening knows Mr. Trump’s businesses are great business). So I'm sure that one of the first things President Trump will do is go from top to bottom through his jurisdiction, the executive branch of the federal government with all its agencies, bureaus, commissions, committees, consultants, panels, parasites, parasites of the parasites, and other leeches in general, eliminating any position that has outlived its usefulness, or has never had a real purpose, or was created short term and evolve into long term, or any position or job that was created because the friend of a politician was out of work.
The great business executive, President Trump, could soon transform the obese unwieldy executive branch into a lean, mean, efficient branch of our government that has the good of the people in mind.
This is just one daydream that has come to my mind. You may have others that would put a positive spin on a Trump presidency.
A personal note to "the Donald": You could endear yourself to the American people by forgoing your commission when you rent out the Lincoln bedroom. And one more thing, you should pay for the big gold letters out of your own pocket when you change the White House to the Trump House.
