Patrick J. Noyes

Patrick J. Noyes, 79 , of Park Rapids, MN, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Crystal Brook “The Gems” in Park Rapids, Minnesota.  He was born on March 17, 1940 in Little Falls, Minnesota, the son of Chester Noyes and Genevieve (Raster) Smacker. He was raised and educated in Little Falls. Patrick graduated from High School in El Cajon, California. He went on to pursue a career in Real Estate and Insurance. He was quite a salesman. For three years in a row he was in the top one hundred salesmen in the nation for American Family Insurance.  Patrick married Dorothy (Carroll) Noyes on June 7, 1969 in El Cajon, California. Together they raised a family and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Patick was an active community member. He was a member and held many offices, including president, of the JayCees and Lions in Brainerd and Nisswa area. He also served as a president of the Brainerd Area Real Estate Board. Because Patrick was such a social person, wherever he went he would find someone he knew or would make a new friend and visit. He loved road trips and taking Sunday drives. Patrick loved being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or playing golf. He adored his family and always enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren, and friends at the lake.  He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Noyes of Park Rapids, MN; his children, Stephen (Hannelore) Noyes of Davenport, IA, Bradley (Cindy) Noyes of Pequot Lakes, MN, and Tracy (Joe) Ganley of Nevis, MN; 11 grandchildren, Nathalie, Whitney, Taylor, Nathan, Anthony, Kegan, Kasey, Kyler, Sam, Buster, and Maya; 7 great grandchildren, Skyler, Murraye, Jordan, Ayla, Emyliah, Kaylee, and Khloe; his brother, Bob (Mona) Noyes of Detroit Lakes, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.  He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Noyes; his mother, Genevieve Smacker; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Noyes; his great nephew, Nicholas Rasmussen; and his godmother, Helen Olek.  Visitation will be at Riverside Methodist Church in Park Rapids on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the services. Memorial Services will be held at the Riverside Methodist Church on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:00 am.
