Susan Munnings Haley, 84, of Nevis MN, died September 28th 2021. She was born in Superior Wisconsin on July 28 1937. She was the daughter of George and Jeannette Munnings, the youngest of 10 children and passed away in her home after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She is survived by her loving husband Joel, son Patrick Haley and daughter Nancy Redding. She is also survived by 4 grand children and 8 great grand children. Susan received her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin and taught at several places including in Germany for the US Army. She and Joel were married for 46 years, and shortly after being married moved to Nevis MN, and lived in a house they built on Lake Belle Taine. She worked for the Nevis school system as administrative assistant for the principal, then for the superintendent and then ultimately became librarian for the Nevis school. She loved quilting and was a member of the local quilting group “The Nines” as well as the “Crazy Quilters”. She loved to garden and spent hundreds of hours in her flower beds. She donated her body to the Mayo Clinic and as a result a simple remembrance will be held at her home when her ashes have been returned. She is sorely missed by all who loved her dearly!!
