Janice Elaine (Danielson) Lundsten went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2021.
She was born in Thief River Falls, MN on August 3, 1939 to Elver “Raymond” and Gladys (Peterson) Danielson. She attended school in Thief River Falls, and after a family move, graduated in 1957 from the Park Rapids, MN High School. She was the oldest of two children. She was a student at Bethel University, St. Paul and graduated from Bemidji State University in 1962 with an Elementary Education teaching degree.
In June 1967, she married William “Bill” Lundsten, Jr., and was blessed with two sons, Randy and Rick. Although she and Bill lived a short time in the twin cities, and Park Rapids, most of their 53 years together were spent living in Nevis, MN.
Jan retired from a thirty-three-year teaching career in 1995. In those years, she touched the lives of many elementary students with her kindness and warmth.
Nearly every weekend for a period of years, she and her love, Bill, would sing together as part of the Golden Street Quartet, sharing the Gospel of Christ through song. She later would lend her gift of voice and bass guitar to other groups in the area. She was fun loving and could often be found telling jokes and entertaining guests at the Wood Tick Summer Theatre, in Akeley MN.
Jan was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother who reached out daily to her family. She followed each of their lives with love and prayer. She will be greatly missed.
Jan is survived by her two sons. Randy (Robyn) Lundsten of North Mankato, MN. Rick (Kristi) Lundsten of Park Rapids, MN. Four grandchildren, Mark (Paula) Lundsten, Amber Lundsten, Scott Lundsten, Taylor Lundsten and one brother, Duane Danielson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bill (10/2020).
