Kathleen Beelner

Kathleen “Kathy” Renee Beelner, 67, of Duluth, MN and Park Rapids, MN passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.

Kathleen was born on December 28, 1952 in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of Marcel Michael and Lois Marie (Koch) Beelner. She grew up in Kingsley Iowa where she attended Kingsley/Pierson Schools through the 9th grade. She moved with her family to Park Rapids to start her 10th grade year, graduating from Park Rapids High in 1971. She went on to attend Bemidji Vocational School, before beginning a lengthy career as a secretary with the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office. Kathy retired in 2015.

She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and its Ladies Guild of Park Rapids, MN. Kathy enjoyed crocheting afghans and washcloths for all her loved ones. She liked working in her yard, traveling and seeing new places. She adored her grandchildren, especially making memories with them. She exhibited beauty, generosity and thoughtfulness. She was fun loving and she loved spending time on Long Lake.

She is survived by her daughter – Lisa (Mike) Cary and grandchildren Devin and Greta all of Duluth, MN; her siblings – Carol (Fred) Eiteman of Perry, Iowa; Jan (Dennis) Vaske; and Mike (JaNell) Beelner both of Park Rapids, MN. Many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marcel and Lois Beelner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN. There will be no visitation at the church, visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 5 until 7 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Park Rapids, MN.
