Joseph “Joe” Weinmeyer

Joseph Weinmeyer “Joe”, 65 of Park Rapids, Minnesota, formerly of Minneapolis, passed Saturday February 22, 2020, following a lengthy struggle with serious health issues. Joe studied organic chemistry and the sciences at the University of Minnesota. He worked in healthcare in various capacities including kidney dialysis. He also worked in sales and marketing until retirement. Joe loved the quiet solitude of Park Rapids with Suzy, his huge garden, cooking, and his kitties. Joe enjoyed body building, travel, science, and astronomy. Joe had a thirst for knowledge and fascination with the human condition and worlds beyond.

Preceded in death by parents John and Lorrayne Weinmeyer and brother Jackie. Survived by loving companion and partner Suzanne Gribble; son Jesse Weinmeyer (Jessica) and granddaughter Aria and step grandson Landon Barthel-Nelson; brother Jim Weinmeyer (Linda); sisters Janice Weinmeyer and Judy Hanson and other family and friends.

He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 305 5th St. W, Park Rapids MN on Saturday March 7th. Visitation will be at 11AM,and the service will follow at 12 noon.
