Frank Olson

Frank Thomas Olson, 79, of Park Rapids, MN died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids, MN.

Frank was born on July 8, 1941 in Cumberland, Wisconsin the son of Thomas Alonzo and Bernice Geraldine (Paquin) Olson. He grew up and attended school in Wisconsin graduating from Frederic High School in 1959. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp in June of 1959, he trained as a mechanic and he was part of a maintenance company. He was honorably discharged in 1963. He lived in Cumberland, WI, Isanti, MN and Park Rapids. He was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He liked fishing, hunting, bird watching, spending time with family & friends, people watching, and being outdoors.

He was definitely one of a kind. He loved to drive truck, he was a proud military veteran. He liked to smoke cigars and drink wine.

He is survived by brothers – Larry Olson and Lonnie Olson both of Cumberland, WI; his sister – Janice (Danie) Waalan of Balsumlake, WI; His children - Brent (Jennifer) Olson of Montrose, MN; Brad (Karla) Olson of Milaca, MN; Kimberly (Andy) Eischens and Tracy (Clifton) Odom of Park Rapids, MN; 14 grandchidlren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lyle.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids. A 3:30 military honors ceremony will be held.
