Bruce A. Kochmann

Bruce Allan Kochmann, 67, of Park Rapids, MN died on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020 at his home.

Bruce was born on Oct 3, 1953 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Clarence and Rachel (Walde) Kochmann. He grew up in New Brighton and Arden Hills and at age 14 he went to the  Waseca Ag. School where he graduated in 1971. He enlisted in the US Air Force in June of 1971 being discharged in May 1974. He attended Dunwoody Institute for transmission technician training. He moved to Park Rapids in 1975 and worked at S and T motors in Mahnomen. He also worked at his dad’s shop in Park Rapids Clancy’s Amoco Station. He started driving Semi Truck in the late 1970’s. He also owned a car crushing business from 1987 until 1994. He resumed over the truck driving in 1994, retiring in 2014.

He enjoyed working on vehicles, he played drums in couple of bands earlier in life. He was fiercely patriotic and very loyal to his friends - Butch Pachel, Sam Cromwell, and Michael Walters. Bruce could be described as being very independent and he absolutely loved to ride his Harley.

He is survived by his many cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his girlfriend Elaina Meacham.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov 13, 2020 from 5 until 7 pm at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN. Memorials are suggested to a Veterans Charity of donors choice. Friends may leave online condolences at ceasefuneralhome.com.
