Bonnie Jean Theisen

Bonnie Jean Theisen, 80, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 16th. She left this world surrounded by loved ones.

Bonnie was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota, on May 2, 1939, the daughter of Alice and Vivian Lee Carpenter, and was one of eight children. She graduated from Park Rapids High School. She later received her LPN degree from Bay de Noc Community College and brought much love and kindness to her profession.

Bonnie worked as a pediatric nurse for many years in Marinette, Wisconsin, caring for many patients and making lasting friendships in the process. Bonnie's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes to share with them. In later life, she traveled to different states to spend extended time with her children and their families. She was active and influential in her grandchildren's lives and will be dearly missed.

Bonnie was married to William E. Theisen on November 30, 1957; they were married 47 years. Bonnie is survived by her loving children Laurel A. Theisen, Joni L. Mueller (Dale), William B. Theisen (Sabine), and Jeanne M. McCarthy (Michael); grandchildren Megan (Darren), Alexander (Angie), Cameron, Gabrielle, Dominic, Thomas, Erin, Tyson (Holly), and Jared; three great-grandchildren Jackson, Mackenzie, and Indigo, and other family and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Theisen.

The funeral mass will be held at 11 am, July 26th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road, Austin,Texas 78746. Father Bud Roland will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Two Inlets, Minnesota where Bonnie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Bill.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
