Betty Lou Hanson, 92, of Nevis, MN died on 9-6-2020 in Buffalo, MN.

Betty Christenson was born August 3, 1928 in Hoffman, MN to Arnold and Gladys Christenson. She was raised in the Nevis, MN area and married Vernon L. Hanson August 4, 1946. They lived in the Nevis and Park Rapids area with short stays in Denver, CO and El Paso, TX.

Betty worked for Ringer Manufacturing in Park Rapids and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, music and dancing.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; grandson, Michael and an infant granddaughter; her sister, Marlys and her brothers, Harold, Myron (Mike), and James (Jim). Survived by sons Rick (Jan) of Monticello, MN, Larry (Mary) of Abercrombie, ND and Ron (Eileen) of Bullhead City, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Steve, Mark, Kelly, Heidi and Taryn; 12 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Arlene Husby; brother, Dennis (Debbie); special friends, Phil Koppenberg and Gene John; plus many in-laws (out-laws), nieces and nephews.

Betty was diagnosed in 2014 with Dementia and then went to live with her son, and then Park Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care in Buffalo, MN.

Funeral was held at Cease FH, Park Rapids.
