Charity Perrier and Matthew Winskowski are inviting people to a new age salon for all ages.

The couple opened The Perfect Switch Salon in early May at 501 1st Street East in Park Rapids next to Northern Cycle.

"This has been a dream of Charity's for a while and it became a dream of mine along the way too," Winskowski said.

Perrier has three years of experience and Winskowski has a year of experience.

"Owning our salon means making our own schedule, which helps because we have kids," Perrier said.

The name of the salon reflects how each has made a switch in careers. Winskowski owns a DJ company and Perrier was an accountant.

"There's a lot of meaning behind the name," Winskowski said. "This has been a passion of ours for a while."

Winskowski's focus is on hair styling and color while Perrier also works with nails and skin care. The full service salon offers several options for haircuts and styles, along with an array of colors, perms and waxing services. Nail services include manicures, pedicures, gel nails and more.

Additional services include dreadlocks, extensions and feathers.

The Perfect Switch Salon is open seven days a week - Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

In the future, the couple hopes to offer more services.

Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are appreciated. Call 237-8703 to make an appointment or check out their website at
