Minnesota man arrested in connection with multi-county burglaries
BEMIDJI, Minn.—Officials in Beltrami County recovered a massive amount of stolen property July 10 after locating a vehicle in Blackduck, Minn., that had been used in a residential burglary in Koochiching County, according to a press release.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence of David A. Pope, 53, of Funkley, Minn., and found a large amount of stolen property that included lawn equipment, power tools, firearms and other household items that had been reported stolen during burglaries in Beltrami, Koochiching and Itasca counties.
Authorities executed several more search warrants from neighboring countries and recovered a large cache of stolen property. Some of the stolen items are from thefts that happened several years ago.
Pope was arraigned in Beltrami County District Court on July 12 and was released from the Beltrami County Jail on July 16 on a $25,000 bond.
