"Five Weeks and Five Days," a women's conference, will be held Oct. 14-16 in Walker at Chase on the Lake.
A lineup of nationally known speakers will be headlining the event. These women will share the inner fire that got them to the top, and their wisdom that can be applied to both personal and business life to see significant results in short amounts of time.
Speakers are Connie Goldman, former daily and weekend host of NPR's "All Things Considered" and author of six books; Jill Johnson, founder of Johnson Consulting Services which has done business in the U.S., Europe and Asia and who is the SBA National Small Business Woman Advocate of the Year; Lorelei Kraft, Minnesota Woman Business Owner of the Year, a recipient of the Governor's Entrepreneurship Award and a well-known author, producer, and speaker who will also be speaking in Hong Kong in April 2012. A full lineup of speakers can be seen at www.fiveweeksandfivedays.com .
This conference is for all women, whether in business, homemakers or community volunteers. It is geared for those who find it difficult to find quality time to network with other women on a creative growth level, those who wish to discover simple and fast ways to make changes in both work and personal life and those who want to achieve more balance in their busy lives.
This conference is also geared toward networking, in a fun and relaxing setting combining outstanding content with a "mini-vacation."

The name for the "Five Weeks and Five Days™" conferences is based on the remarkable achievement of 12 women who wanted to do something about the 20 percent unemployment rate in their rural Minnesota county.
They created a miracle that all the experts said was "impossible" - from scratch, they built, stocked, staffed and opened the award-winning Village of the Smoky Hills in just five weeks and five days from the day ground was broken.
"When I speak across the country, people are enthralled with the story. But the next question always is, 'How did you do it?" Kraft said.
The idea for the conference was thus born - to teach how to get things done fast in all areas of life.
Sessions will include ones on leadership, condensing time to get things done fast while keeping your sanity, the importance of networking for your financial bottom line, the value of not taking "No!" for an answer, holistic wellness, the secrets we can learn from women who came before us, how to have longevity in business and more.
What also makes this conference different is that there will be time for "rubbing elbows" with the speakers who will stay throughout the weekend.
