Police here arrested a 50-year-old woman on suspicion of aggravated assault Tuesday night after another woman attending a party reported that her head was busted open.

The two women had just met that night and were drinking when an argument erupted, Sgt. Mike Lykken said. Police were called to the residence in the 1100 block of 13th Avenue North about 5:37 p.m.

"The arrested person hit the victim over the head with a drinking glass causing a goose-egg type bump to her head and also a one-inch cut to her head, which was bleeding heavily," Lykken said.

The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not life threatening, Lykken said.

Cheryl Jendro, Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and resisting an officer because she "refused to comply with the officer's orders," Lykken said.
