Victims from a rural Wolf Lake fire early Friday, Feb. 27 have been identified by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

Gregory Scott Tabatt, 37, and Denise Dawn Beito, 37, both of Goodridge, were found inside Tabatt's 1991 Chevrolet that had been parked inside a modified garage, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Office.

The building was heated by wood, which authorities are saying appeared to be the source of the fire. Initially, it was thought the car had started the fire.

The sheriff's office reported that initial results indicate a high level of carbon monoxide in both victims, which could have caused them to become unconscious. A full toxicology report is forthcoming.

The investigation revealed no foul play, according to the sheriff's office.
