And the winner is...

Number 4532663.

If this number isn't claimed by noon Friday, Jan. 2, the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will go down the list of drawn tickets until a winner claims the $5,000 cash prize.

Hundreds of Jingle Bells participants filled Century School cafetorium Thursday night, all awaiting to hear who the lucky winners were. Some won door and second-chance prizes, others were out of luck. But all felt the holiday spirit.

The drawing for the first $1,000 cash prize stopped at the second ticket because that ticket holder was present. The ticket was verified and has a 50/50 chance of winning, if the first number isn't claimed.

In another category, one participant was present for one of the five $1,000 cash prizes.

Judy Nelson was the lucky person of the night. Judy and her husband John won door prizes in addition to the Jingle Bells cash prize.

John said he needed the oil change gift certificate he won as a door prize. Judy said she plans to continue her Christmas shopping using some of the money.

The Park Rapids couple has been shopping locally and said the winning ticket was from J&B Foods.

"We eat a lot," John said.

After finishing her Christmas shopping, Judy plans to use the rest of the money to buy cat food and donate it to the Headwaters Humane Society.
