William R. Malone
William R. Malone, 75, of Park Rapids died Monday, June 12, 2006 at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1931 to Robert and Elizabeth Malone near Wadena. He attended St. Anne's School and Wadena Public School.
He married Verna McConnell Sept. 24, 1951. He was a salesman for Skelly Oil for eight years. In 1964, he became an independent manufacturer's representative, living in Pine City until he retired. In 1998, they moved to Park Rapids.
He was a member of the Catholic church. He served on several town commissions.

He is survived by his wife; five children, Dennis, Angie Johnson, Mary Jo Malone, Amy Malone and Cathy Cedarleaf; three brothers, James, Jerry and Robert; three sisters, Ellen, Donna and Virginia; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 15 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Friday, June 16 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Park Rapids with Father Dennis Wieland officiating.
