A Waubun man faces a felony charge for reportedly fleeing a Becker County sheriff's deputy during a high-speed chase Wednesday morning.
Justin Aaron-Asher Spencer, 31, 24785 County Road 28, Waubun, also faces misdemeanor charges for using artificial lights to locate wild animals and illegally transporting a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
According to court records, a Becker County Sheriff's Deputy came across the suspect around 1:10 a.m. in a full-size crew cab pickup after receiving reports from other officers and residents in the area of Highway 58 and County Road 153 of someone spotlighting deer.
The deputy saw the suspect heading westbound on 340th Street spotlighting deer and approaching the suspect's vehicle.
With the deputy's police lights and siren on, the suspect did not pull over as speeds approached 90 miles per hour.

The chase lasted for about 11 miles before the deputy lost track of the suspect as they were heading back to Highway 59.
At 2:00 a.m., the deputy came across the suspect's vehicle again heading northbound on 240th Avenue. The pickup pulled over for the officer.
Another sheriff's deputy came on the scene and spoke with a passenger in the vehicle, and asked to see his phone. Text messages reportedly sent said that police were chasing the suspect.
The passenger reportedly indicated that the truck's speeds reached 100 miles per hour.
He is also facing felony charges for leaving the scene of an injury accident that he is accused of causing June 27, 2009.
According to court records, Spencer admitted that he was the driver of a Ford F150 truck involved in the accident.
Spencer was released from Becker County Jail on $1,000 cash bail. His next court hearing is Nov. 2.
