Two Wadena County roads were closed Monday morning due to flooding caused by snow melt and heavy rains that began Sunday.

Wadena County Sheriff Mike Carr reported that Wadena County Road 145 had a centerline culvert that was washing out, and the road was closed about one mile northwest of CSAH 18, north of Nimrod. The road is expected to be closed a few days for culvert repair.

Also, County Road 141 was closed about 1/2 mile south of CSAH 13 Monday morning. The road and culverts were washing out due to heavy runoff. That road was expected to reopen later this week as well.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Wadena County until 4 p.m. Monday. The NWS said moderate to heavy rainfall would cause overland flooding in areas.
