Virginia Jeanette Conklin, 66, of Gilbert died Monday, June 26, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
She was born Jan. 3, 1940 to Levi and Jennie (Niemi-nen) Dormanen in Snell-man. She attended high school in Park Rapids.
She married Donald Conklin Sept. 15, 1957 in Snellman. In 1958, they moved to the Iron Range. From August 1991 to 2006 she worked at Eveleth Health Services Park as a dietary aide, cook and housekeeping.
She is survived by her husband; five children, Rodney "Rocky," Randy and Aaron, all of Gilbert, Tam-mie (Donovan Johnson) Lamke of International Falls and Michele (Jerry) Wey-andt of Lino Lakes; two brothers, Arnold Heinonen of Brooklyn Park and John Dormanen of Eveleth; sister, Mary "Millie" (Alfred) Maisio of Cass Lake; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Orville, Vern, Marvin, Wesley and Milton; and sister, Darlene.

Funeral: Friday, June 30 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Rev. Darin Elvemo of-ficiating.
Interment: Gilbert Cemetery.
