Vehicle descriptions released in search for missing Wisconsin girl whose parents were killed

BARRON, Wis. -- Wisconsin authorities have updated the Amber Alert for 13-year-old Jayme Closs, who disappeared from her home in Barron, where her parents were discovered dead on Oct. 15.

BARRON, Wis. - Wisconsin authorities have updated the Amber Alert for 13-year-old Jayme Closs, who disappeared from her home in Barron, where her parents were discovered dead on Oct. 15.
It is still not clear what happened to the girl. But investigators have said they think she may have been home when her parents were shot and killed, and that she was taken in the moments after the attack.
Authorities are now asking for the public's help regarding two vehicles that are of interest in the case.
One is a 2004-2015 black Acura MDX or a 2006-2010 black Ford Edge.
The other is believed to be a 2008-2014 red or orange Dodge Challenger.
Anyone who may have seen a vehicle matching these descriptions in the Barron area between about Oct. 8 and Oct. 22 is asked to contact the Barron County tip line at 1-855-744-3879, or by email at jaymetips@co.barron.wi.us .
