An unidentified woman was transported to the Park Rapids hospital Wednesday morning after hitting a deer on Highway 34 near Dorset Corner.

The driver was taken to CHI St. Joseph’s Health with stomach and chest pains.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. Numerous vehicle-deer crashes have occurred in the county this summer as mothers and spotted fawns begin to move about.
