Two bull riders found out how dangerous the sport was Saturday night in Park Rapids.
A Colorado bull rider was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital Saturday night after suffering a serious injury getting thrown from a bull.
Cody Johansen, 20, was thrown around 7 p.m., early into the Professional Bull Riders event in Park Rapids. He was identified by a PBR official.

He was taken by ambulance to the Park Rapids airport for transport to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for treatment of serious injuries. He was suffering seizures the moment he hit the ground.
A second rider, who was not identified, was taken to CHI St. Joseph's Health in Park Rapids and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Bull riding is one of the most dangerous sports in the rodeo arena.
The three-night run in Park Rapids sent several cowboys gimping and hobbling after they’d been thrown. Until Johansen’s fall, there were no serious injuries during the Park Rapids run.
The PBR program indicates he’s from Grover, Colo.
