A Leonard man died Thursday night when his snowmobile came off a park trail in northeast Hubbard county and struck a passing car.
A YouTube memorial is playing for Dennis Lindenfelser, 41, a father of six who died on Hubbard County 16 near the Paul Bunyan Trail. Leonard is in Clearwater County.

According to a Sheriff's Department release issued Monday afternoon the accident occurred at 7:36 p.m.

Deputies arrived on scene found that Lindenfelser of had been traveling northbound on a snowmobile trail when he failed to stop at a stop sign. Lindenfelser's snowmobile collided with a vehicle travelling eastbound on County Road 16. The vehicle was being driven by a 16 year old individual from Laporte.
Deputies began CPR on Lindenfelser at the scene, but he was later pronounced dead by North Country Ambulance medical staff.
