A two vehicle crash sent one man to the hospital and briefly snarled traffic in downtown Nevis Thursday noon.
The crash, around 1:15 p.m. occurred on Highway 34 near Bullwinkle’s restaurant.
The driver of one of the vehicles was believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Park Rapids.
Teddy Jennings, 68, of Ottertail was traveling eastbound on the highway when he broadsided a Ford Flex that was attempting to cross the road.
Donald Bridell of St. Louis Park and Lois Cross of Nevis, both 83, were traveling west on Hubbard County Road 82 when they were hit by the Ford Ranger. Numerous agencies responded, which added to the traffic congestion at the intersection. North Memorial sent two ambulances. Hubbard County, the State Patrol, Hubbard First Responders, the Nevis Fire Department and others responded.
