Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office investigators and Beltrami County Coroner have positively identified the deceased female pulled from Lake Bemidji on July 25, 2018 as Amber R. Jackson, 32, of Cass Lake.Preliminary cause of death has been determined to be drowning. No evidence of trauma was found. Further testing by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is pending as Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to gather information. The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office received a report of a body in Lake Bemidji, near the Bemidji Tourist Information Center, at 12:18 p.m. July 25.
Sheriff’s deputies, Bemidji Police and Fire, along with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officers responded to the scene and recovered the body.
