Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night on Highway 34 east of Detroit Lakes.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Phyllis Winters, 64, Ponsford, was driving a Toyota Rav4 eastbound on Highway 34. Kelly Newton, 35, Perham, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when the vehicle made an abrupt left turn to the south in front of Winters.
Winters broadsided Newton. Newton's vehicle had also been reported stolen, operating with license plates from another vehicle.
The accident was reported at 7:18 p.m.
Winters and her passenger, Ronald Winters, 67, Ponsford, received serious but non-life threatening injuries in the accident.

Newton and the two passengers in the Cherokee, Jared Keezer, 20, White Earth, and Kenneth Colling, 36, Ogema, were not injured.
The Becker County Sheriff's Office assisted on the call.
