Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon in a fire that destroyed their rural Gary, Minn., home, the Norman County Sheriff's Office said.
At 2:27 p.m., the office received a 911 call of a fire at 2843 350th St. James Manning, 48, and Therese Lucier, 50, were found dead inside the house.
The Gary Fire Department and the Fertile, Minn., Fire Department assisted in battling the blaze. The house was a complete loss.
The incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office and the Norman County Sheriff's Office.
