Top Nevis spellers go 19 rounds

Monday's Spelling Bee at Nevis School took over an hour and 19 rounds to determine who was the top speller in grades 5-8. Seventh grader Grace McNamee walked away with the first place trophy and seventh grader Isaac Bessler with second place after a double elimination championship round. McNamee will represent Nevis School at the Northwest Regional Spelling Bee in Thief River Falls on Feb. 5.
