With a few more inches of snow Soaring Eagle Ski Trails could be ready for skiers.
Trails were cleared this fall and the warming house has a new metal roof.
Soaring Eagle, located 8 miles north of Park Rapids on Highway 71, is maintained by the Itascatur Club.
Once there is sufficient snow, the trail is groomed each Friday and when there is more than 2 inches of new snow.
A Minnesota Ski Pass is required for skiers ages 16 and up. A pass can be purchased where hunting and fishing licenses are sold or online.
New this year, Itascatur members plan to host open houses every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. weather permitting (previous years they were scheduled twice a month). Updates/cancellations will be posted on the Itascatur website.
