Semi tips on Twin Lakes Road, driver cited for speeding

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of a semi tractor-trailer that had rolled onto its side on Twin Lakes Road at 7:36 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.

According to the sheriff’s report, Jacob Harty of Motley was hauling turkey feed for Jenni-O for Greenwaldt Trucking when he lost control of the semi and rolled. The trailer lost part of its load as the semi tipped. The remainder of the load had to be removed from the trailer before the tractor trailer could be towed from the scene, which caused Twin Lakes Road to be reduced down to one lane of travel until late afternoon.

No injuries resulted from the accident.

The driver was cited for duty to drive with due care, as speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Menahga Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Menahga Fire Department and J&D Towing of Osage.
