For the second night in a row, weather postponed the start of the Section 6A girls basketball tournament.

The tournament was scheduled to begin Thursday night, but was postponed until Friday night. Friday's weather forced the start of the tournament to be postponed again.

The East half of the Section 6A tournament will begin Saturday (March 3) with quarterfinal games at the Park Rapids Century School and Nevis.

At Park Rapids, Nevis plays Laporte at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Verndale vs. Northland game at 8:15.

At Nevis, Sebeka plays Cass Lake-Bena at 6:30 and Menahga plays Hill City at 8:15.

The next round will be played Monday night at Park Rapids with Saturday night's winners at Nevis playing at 6:15 and Saturday night's winners at Park Rapids playing at 8:15.

The East championship game will be played Tuesday night at 7 at Park Rapids with the Section 6A championship game set for Friday (March 9) at Park Rapids at 7 p.m.
