The Park Rapids Area School Board approved a negotiated principal salary agreement for 2013-15 at the Monday, Sept. 9 board meeting.
The agreement is an increase of 1 percent the first year and .5 percent the second year, along with a different insurance plan and minor language changes in the contract.
In other business, the board:
n Approved setting the Truth in Taxation hearing for 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
n Approved an out of state choir trip to San Antonio/Corpus Christi, Texas.
n Approved Deb Davis as head speech coach.
n Accepted donations from Target/Take Charge of Education in the amount of $738.15 for Century Elementary and $403.81 for Century Middle School and the donation of a 20 foot historical mural from Joan Smith to Century Middle School.
BPA stadium chair sponsors are Paul Bunyan Communications, Patrick Sullivan State Farm Insurance, Citizens National Bank, Arvig Communications, Pleasant Avenue Dentistry, Northwoods Bank, Coldwell Banker and Anytime Fitness.
