Scholarship applications are open

Graduating seniors have two opportunities for scholarships.

NWMN Foundation scholarships

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation believes the community members who will have the most impact in our communities are young learners who are prepared for success.

We encourage applicants to look for every scholarship they are eligible for, in an efficient and convenient platform, which we are providing as a service to our scholarship funds.

Students can find out which scholarships they qualify for by taking an eligibility quiz once they create and login to their account.

The NMF application deadline is April 15 and the Northwest Technical College Foundation scholarship deadline is May 31.

For questions about available scholarships or how to start a scholarship fund, please contact us at scholarships@nwmf.org.

Township Association Scholarship

The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) will award up to five $2,000 scholarships to high school juniors through its scholarship program. All students currently enrolled in 11grade and attending a public, private or parochial school in Minnesota or enrolled in a home-study program are eligible to apply.

Applicants should submit a written essay using critical thinking on the topic of land use by May 1, 2021. Winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and will be notified by Sept. 1. They will also be invited to attend MAT’s annual conference in St. Cloud.

For more information and application details, please call the MAT offices at 1-800-228-0296 or visit www.mntownships.org .
