Hubbard County Sheriff’s Investigator Bill Schlag and Jill Christenson, a crime victim services employee with the Hubbard County Attorney’s Office, will present a fraud seminar at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at First Baptist Church, 909 8th St. W. in Park Rapids.
Every day, millions of people fall victim to those trying to take advantage of them by phone, computer, mail or at their doorstep. Telemarketing fraud alone is a $40 billion per year business. More than 60 percent of victims are senior citizens.
