A 16-year-old rural Detroit Lakes girl escaped injury Friday morning when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway and rolled several times on County Road 6.
The girl, whose name was not released, lives in the Pearl Lake area and was on her way to school driving a 2004 Saturn SUV when it hydroplaned on a wet curve, left the roadway, and rolled several times.
She was wearing a seat belt and was not seriously injured in the accident, according to Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon. She was taken to St. Mary's Innovis hospital to be checked out. The accident was reported at 7:04 a.m.
