The metropolis of Dorset, population 22, will swell 100-fold in number (and girth) when the restaurant capital of the world hosts its annual Taste day Sunday.
For more than two decades the restaurateurs and merchants have moved their fares and wares into the street to host the annual town festival.
While states wait for an economic stimulus package, Dorset proffers a "culinary stimulus package."
"It's all about food," said Kathy Schmidt of LaPasta, one of Dorset's four eateries "But it's not limited to restaurants." All the merchants put on a spread that rivals any state fair.

This year's menu includes gyros, turtle sundaes, spaghetti balls, monkey tails, mud balls, cheesecake on a stick, broasted chicken, barbecue ribs, fruit kabobs, quesadillas, pork roast and prime rib sandwiches and more.
First English Lutheran Church members will be hosting a corn feed and pie social.
Games for kids - from Wheel of Fortune to Body Bumpers to Plinkos - will entertain, as will musicians, several bands arriving for some toe tappin' and finger snappin' merriment. Faces will be painted; books will be signed.
Hop on board for a horse-drawn wagon ride. Members of the sheriff's mounted posse will ride into town for the event.
And the mayor's seat is up for grabs (figuratively, of course). Where else but Dorset, Minn. could a dog run for mayor - against an opponent from Dorset, England.
Yes, this year Dora the Dog, a recently rescued hound, is vying for the vote along with Sam Merison of the U.K.
In this democracy-at-its-finest election, anyone can be mayor - at $1 per vote. The drawing for the distinguished title will be at 2 p.m.
