Emergency personnel are responding to a report of possibly two snowmobiles going through the ice on the Red River near the dam and the north walking bridge in Grand Forks. A Herald reporter on scene reports emergency personnel working with one snowmobiler, transporting the person up the bank to an ambulance on the East Grand Forks side of the river. The workers carried the person across the walking bridge to an ambulance on the Grand Forks side of the river. One snowmobile can be seen laying on the rocks of the dam as the water comes down.

There are snowmobile tracks coming up to the dam from the south. The initial report on the police scanner was that two snowmobiles had went into the water.
