A 26-year-old Red Lake man has been indicted in federal court for allegedly sexually abusing a woman in May.
According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice:
Jeremy Charles Wind has been charged with one count of sexual abuse.
According to the indictment, Wind engaged in a sexual act with an adult woman on May 22 who was physically incapable of declining participation and who communicated unwillingness to engage in the act.
If convicted, Wind would face a maximum penalty of life in prison.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Red Lake Police Department. Prosecuting the case is Assistant U.S. Attorney Tricia A. Tingle.
